I know, I know I'm a slacker

So instead of back-posting the last couple weeks

I'll just skip to a couple funny little stories

A few nights ago we were squeezing in an early dinner before heading to Brig's baseball game and Brig says: “I prayed that our team will win our baseball game tonight”

Dad: “Well thats good, but we cant always win buddy”

Me: “Well what if the other teamed prayed that they will win too?”

Brig:"Well then it will be a TIE!”

well of course, why hadn't I thought of that??

Earlier that same day Raegan and I had this little conversation:

Raegan says to me “Mom, why do we have babies”
Me: "Because they're cute”
Raegan: “No, because babies turn into kids, then teenagers, then “Grow-in-ups”
Me: “Then what??”
Raegan: “Then we die”

haha...so apparantly the next thing in life for me is Im gonna die.
I'm hopin this grow-in-up stage lasts awhile, and what I'm hoping for even more is that the kid stage for my little ones lasts awhile too, they grow up way too fast and I'm not even close to ready for it

Is it just me

or is it near iMpOsSiBlE to get all the kids sitting up straight, looking at the camera and smiling all at once for a Easter Picture?

We started off pretty strong...in fact if I had realized I had gotten this shot I would have stopped here...because it all went downhill from here

Tucson Air Show

My cousin works at the Air Force Base here {they are moving this summer...boo hoo} and they reminded us about the Tucson Air Show.
So we decided that would be a perfect way to end Spring Break with a bam

The thunderbirds were A-m-A-z-I-n-G

The Air Force knows how to put on a show...

and it was FREE to boot

Can't beat that!

I've been thinking...

which I know can be scary, but this was good thinking

thinking how lucky I am

thinking about all I have been blessed with

thinking about my family

thinking about my freedoms

thinking about my religion

so last night when the missionaries from my church dropped by and challenged us to share what we believe with others it was fitting

when they left I thought about what they said and continued doing what I had been doing before they showed up

This morning I thought about what they said and got distracted making lunches, brushing teeth, and feeding my baby

But now I'm sitting here thinking about it again

and I just want to share what I have, what I believe, and what I am greateful for...

I caught a little

visitor running away from my house on St Patricks day morning...

The kids were so excited for green milk and leprachaun cereal, but wanted to know why the leprachaun didn't stick around to play...

well of course, he didn't want to share his pot of gold!

Take me out to the Ball Game...

especially if it means that my mom and dad come to town.

We look forward to Spring Training every year, a serious perk of living in Arizona

We all geared up in our green and yellow to support the A's

They played h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e...I mean seriously pathetically bad

Raegan kept asking us "how are they going to get their trophy if they don't get a point?"

hmmm...sounds like we need to work on teaching her how the game works

at least they scored 1 run in the last inning

We're hoping this was a fluke and that the real season goes a little smoother...
but it was still such a blast

Raegan cheered "GO A's" the entire game...whether they were at bat or not
Brig was really interested in learning more about the game, which of course Paul was lovin'

We had a great weekend with my parents, my kids always look forward to

Nana & Pa

coming to town, and it always seems to go by way way too quickly.

"Nerth" Guns and a Birthday

Both Brig and Raegan were so excited to pick out their presents for their dad this year. They wanted to go BIG and both wanted to get him a gun. When I told them that I wasn't getting him a gun because it was too much money, Brig said "Well then I'll get it for him." When I asked him how he was going to pay for it he told me "You are!"
Luckily he happily settled on picking him out a Pocket Knife.

Raegan did get Paul a shotgun for his birthday...

a Nerf Gun Shotgun, or a "Nerth" Gun as they are called around here

And let me tell you it WAS A HIT!

That shotgun got some serious use...the entire day was filled with wars and battles and target shooting. He was like a little child, he couldnt get enough of his new toy. The whole family got in on the action, and besides a few temporary battle wounds it was a blast.
Moral of the story:

Paul may have turned a year older, but you can't make a boy really grow up

and that, my friends is why I love him so much, never a dull moment with that one
