...and girls will be girls

Since the BOYS got a "boys night out" we figured the girls deserved a "girls night out."

Raegan was disappointed ALL week that the camping trip was "BOYS ONLY" so I figured I better make it a good one. I asked her what she wanted to do, and this is what I got:

"I want to

go shopping for my baby sister,

eat pizza,

get ice cream,

paint my toe nails

and watch Cinderella!!"

WHAT A GIRL

So that is EXACTLY what we did

After out little photoshoot we headed off to do some shopping...a little something for baby, Raegan and even mommy

Next: Some yummy pizza at Sauce and then over to Frost for some delicious gelato

(Raegan kept telling me that "girl camping" was so much fun)

And of course we topped the night of with painting our nails and watching Cinderella

I have to say that was the most fun night I have had in a LONG, long time!

I absolutely adore my little girl, and I got really excited when I realized that next year when the boys head off to Father/Son Campout I will have

2 LITTLE GIRLS

to have girls night with.

So with the wedding being the day before Easter, I have to admit that we didnt give much thought to Easter until that morning.
We did color Easter Eggs for FHE that week, and of course the Easter Bunny made a stop by Nana & Pa's house.
But it wasnt until we sat in Sacrament Meeting that afternoon and we started to sing the opening Hymn about our Savior's resurrection that I felt the Spirit of Easter that I long for....that amazing feeling to know that our Savior died for us and was resurrected so that we can be with our Father in Heaven again.
I love the Spirit of Easter.

I told you we were busy, I NEVER took a picture of my kids in their Easter outfits (and if you know me that is SOOO unlike me)! But we did get a family photo after we changed OUT of our Easter clothes! But just look at the last post, my kids Easter Clothes were the same as their wedding clothes...so there you go, I got the picture after all!
We spent Easter afternoon with LOTS of family at my Aunt's house. The only ones we were missing were the bride and groom...they were off honeymooning!

Yep.
That is one of the reasons I have been MIA in the blogging world.
I packed up the kids and headed off for our 3 week-get-away.

I am sorry. I am truly repentant. I will change. I use to be a good blogger. As of late I have become a blog slacker. I was sick. Then out of town for 3 weeks. But no excuses. My laziness ends now. I am back. I am a blogger again.

"Goodbye Old Faithful"

Paul loves his alarm clock, good old faithful.

He got it his freshman year of high school, and gets very irritated whenever I even mention the small possibility of maybe, just maybe replacing it. It's like a friend to him.

Well Friday he got in one of those project moods and decided to paint our master bedroom (we painted it a brown awhile ago, and we have both have always HATED it). I thought it was a great idea. Somehow after the room was freshly painted he agreed to replacing old faithful, not happily agreed but agreed. So I jumped at the oppurtunity...I could tell the ordeal was hard for him but it was time. In with new, out with the old...it was time for retirement.

So Paul's project mode sent me straight into project mode so I tackled refinishing our dresser, which has also been on the "To Do" list for awhile. We have this dresser that my mom had given us that is solid and sturdy, just after time and a few moves it was wearing down so I gave it a fresh look with a little paint and new knobs.

So at the end of the day our room was freshly painted bringing a much more light and refreshing feel. And with a spiced up dresser and a new clock the day came to an end.

I love those kind of days!

My Life as "The Pregnant Lady"...

4:50 a.m.-"Do I really have to wake up fo my run? I'm tired"
5:05-"Okay, I'm Up and I'm going..."
5:30-"Oh it really does feel good to get out and run. But man I can't go as far as I used to be able to. Oh well, something is good I guess"
6:30"Oh that was nice, but what I would give to crawl back in bed."
Raegan"Mom I'm thirsty and I'm hungry"
"Okay, the day begins"
9:30 "Could I really be hungry again, I swear I ate breakfast an hour ago?? I'm hungry, yet nothing actually sounds good. Dang!""
10:30-"Okay, I'm dragging...I really need to eat now...whether it sounds good or NOT...I nEeD food asap"
12:00-"Yep...you guessed it, eat again. LUNCHTIME"
1:00-"Kiddos, I love your guts but it's time for naps. I know, you're not tired...but I know you really are so hop in beds"
1:30-"I SHOULD keep working on chores while the house is quiet...oh, but that couch is calling my name I think I'll cave...for just a little bit. I'll set the alarm-30 minutes."
2:00-"beep, beep...15 more minutes, please?"
2:30-"Okay, okay I'm up. Just give me a minute to stand up, I get a bit dizzy after naps..okay, I did it. I'm up!"
3:00-"Now I have my second wind, how much can I squeeze in before dinner?"
4:30-"It's time to start making dinner, what should we have tonight? I was going to make enchiladas...but now that sounds horrid. What do we have stuff to make? Tacos...that doesnt sound good tonight. Okay, nothing really sounds good. We'll go with Pasta, I guess!"
5:30-"Dinner's on the table! Eat up!"
6:30-"I'm tired. Is it 7:30 yet?? "
7:30-"Kids it's time for bed!! I love you, I love you, I love you!! Sweet Dreams"
7:45-"Oh, I'm pregnant so no guilt in finishing up a few things, then throwing some P.J.s on and crashing on the couch in front of some good 'ol T.V. with my hubby"
9:30-"It feels like Midnight...g'night"

Okay, everyday isn't exactly like that! We do leave the house, I promise! But you get the point....hungry, yet nothing sounds good and lots of tIrEd!! But...here's the good news only one more week in the 1st Trimester and I am already feeling so so so much better. It only gets better from here, for a few months at least.

(This post wasnt meant as complaining, I am lucky and grateful and most days LOVE being pregnant)

Blogger Slacker...

I know, I know...I have been the biggest Blog Slacker ever.

I apologize. I'm back.

Here are some more fun pics from our trip to Hawaii, we really had the greatest time on the beach, enjoying the sun and being with my parents and brother.

Paradise Cove

My parents are the greatest and they watched the kids one night while we were in Hawaii so that Paul and I could go to a Luau! It was so much fun, we got to play Hawaiin games, make Hawaiin crafts, learn how to husk a coconut, take a canoe ride and so much more.

Then we got a tasty dinner and the real treat was the amazing show of dancing and music.
