Tucson Air Show

My cousin works at the Air Force Base here {they are moving this summer...boo hoo} and they reminded us about the Tucson Air Show.
So we decided that would be a perfect way to end Spring Break with a bam

The thunderbirds were A-m-A-z-I-n-G

The Air Force knows how to put on a show...
and it was FREE to boot
Can't beat that!

I've been thinking...

which I know can be scary, but this was good thinking
thinking how lucky I am
thinking about all I have been blessed with
thinking about my family
thinking about my freedoms
thinking about my religion
so last night when the missionaries from my church dropped by and challenged us to share what we believe with others it was fitting
when they left I thought about what they said and continued doing what I had been doing before they showed up
This morning I thought about what they said and got distracted making lunches, brushing teeth, and feeding my baby
But now I'm sitting here thinking about it again
and I just want to share what I have, what I believe, and what I am greateful for...

I caught a little

visitor running away from my house on St Patricks day morning...

and this is what he left...

The kids were so excited for green milk and leprachaun cereal, but wanted to know why the leprachaun didn't stick around to play...

well of course, he didn't want to share his pot of gold!

Take me out to the Ball Game...

especially if it means that my mom and dad come to town.
We look forward to Spring Training every year, a serious perk of living in Arizona
We all geared up in our green and yellow to support the A's
They played h-o-r-r-i-b-l-e...I mean seriously pathetically bad
Raegan kept asking us "how are they going to get their trophy if they don't get a point?"
hmmm...sounds like we need to work on teaching her how the game works
at least they scored 1 run in the last inning

We're hoping this was a fluke and that the real season goes a little smoother...
but it was still such a blast
Raegan cheered "GO A's" the entire game...whether they were at bat or not
Brig was really interested in learning more about the game, which of course Paul was lovin'

Morgan enjoying her snacks at her first baseball game.
She's got it right...mmm, can't skip out on baseball treats :)

(look close, I made my girls A's shirts)

Seriously...look at that face.

She was a trooper. She wasn't so sure about the sun...
sorry girly-girl you are gonna have to get used to that livin' in Arizona...the sun is a comin' I'm afraid

We had a great weekend with my parents, my kids always look forward to
Nana & Pa
coming to town, and it always seems to go by way way too quickly.
Thanks for everything, we love you both "the most"

"Nerth" Guns and a Birthday

Both Brig and Raegan were so excited to pick out their presents for their dad this year. They wanted to go BIG and both wanted to get him a gun. When I told them that I wasn't getting him a gun because it was too much money, Brig said "Well then I'll get it for him." When I asked him how he was going to pay for it he told me "You are!"
Luckily he happily settled on picking him out a Pocket Knife.

Raegan did get Paul a shotgun for his birthday...

a Nerf Gun Shotgun, or a "Nerth" Gun as they are called around here

And let me tell you it WAS A HIT!

That shotgun got some serious use...the entire day was filled with wars and battles and target shooting. He was like a little child, he couldnt get enough of his new toy. The whole family got in on the action, and besides a few temporary battle wounds it was a blast.
Moral of the story:

Paul may have turned a year older, but you can't make a boy really grow up

and that, my friends is why I love him so much, never a dull moment with that one
I love you Paul...Happy Birthday!

When I grow up...

Today is Dr. Seuss Birthday
so naturally this is the conversation that we had when Brig got home from school:
Brig: "Today is Dr Seuss Birthday. When I grow up I want to write books and be called
Dr. Cannon"
me: "That sounds like a great idea!"
{a few minutes later}
Brig: "Actually, I want to be a bookwriter and after that I want to be the
Jonas Brothers!"
me: "I love it! Sounds like a plan to me"
{a little later}
me: "Raegan what do you want to be when you grow up?"
Raegan: "a rockstar, cowgirl, farmer"
Me: "You want to be a rockstar, a cowgirl AND a farmer?"
Raegan: " No! I want to be a ROCKSTAR-FARMER-COWGIRL!"
Me: "That will be one awesome Rockstar"

My Date

A few weeks back I got to go on a date with Brig to the Mother/son Dance at his school...
and what a date it was

We danced the night away, that boy has got some moves

I'd take a date with that kid anytime.

How??

How did she go from this
to this

in just 6 months?

I cannot believe that my baby Morgan is already 6 months old.

I love her. I love her sweet smile, especially in the morning. I love her giggle. I love that she loves to sleep. I love her rolls, all 100 of them. I love her chunky, droopy cheeks. I even love her pouty face. I love that she has her daddy head over heels for her. I love how she plays with her feet and nibbles on her toes. And I love that she is all mine.

She's a keeper I tell ya :)

Spa Treatment of Root Canal??

Ya so yesterday I had to get a root canal.
I know what you are thinking...MISERABLE!
Ya thats what I was expecting too. This tooth as been on the brink of needing a root canal for a long time, so I knew it was coming.
My dentist referred me to an endodontist because it was a little bit of a complicated root canal.
So yesterday as I headed to the "specialist" I wasn't thrilled, as you can imagine.
But when I got there I was in shock...

First they offered me a complimentary drink
(a huge assortment....juice, sodas, water---even Girl Scout Cookies)
Then they escorted me back to my room
About every 10 minutes I was asked "How are you? What can we get for you? Are you feeling alright?"
Everyone talked in the sweetest voice, with the most pleasant smile on their faces
and I kid you not
as I was walking out the door already wondering
"Did I just have a root canal or did I just spend the afternoon at the Spa?"
they handed me a white rose and wished me a happy day!
